[ENG] Shopee Affiliates Social Media Community Guidelines

Latest Shopee Affiliates Social Media Community Guidelines (Effective 26 March 2025) 

 

To ensure a positive and collaborative environment, we have established the following guidelines for Affiliate’s Social Media posting with the affiliate’s link. Account limitations will be imposed on Affiliates who have been found to violate the below rules.

 

 

Violation

Examples

Stealing from Other Affiliates' Contents

· Stealing other Affiliate publishers’ content and posting without giving credits or asking for consent.

Fraudulent Behaviour

· Promoting/ buying from own affiliated links

· Using your own affiliated links to buy/ promote involving family and friends, business partners, or Shopee Affiliates.

Inappropriate / Prohibited Content
(Social Media Posting)

· Post about illegal activities, drugs, gambling, weapons, hate speech, tobacco, violence, obscene material

· Post about inciting bad Shopee experience

· Clickbait or deceptive content

· Irrelevant/ controversial content

· Learn more about prohibited content here

· Posts that promote sexual wellness categories including sex toys & performance enhancement products

Prohibited Content Related to Shopee Live

· Post about contents containing intention to cooperate and collude for the purposes of identifying links and products to be included in their Shopee Live sessions before commencement of the livestream session, whether done within or out of the Shopee app.

· This includes encouraging their social media followers to send requests to "Add to Orange Bag", "send PM", "send product link" or other similar activity. 

Sharing of Private & Confidential Information

· Sharing Shopee employees’ contact numbers to others.

· Publishing private information of the programme on Social Media.

Unfulfillment of Free Sample 

· Free Sample request unfulfilled by KOL after the product is shipped 

 

 

If you encounter any violations stated above, please report the incident to Shopee via this form.

 

What happens if Shopee Affiliates' posting guidelines are violated?

 

Non-compliance with these guidelines could lead to penalties, including a temporary ban or the termination of your Shopee Affiliate account and Shopee Affiliate privileges.

 

Details of the penalisation can be found in the table below:

 

 

Types of Penalty

Violation Criteria (Social Media Posting)

Warning

1 offence within the last 3 months from the reported date

Temporary Ban 

(Account will be banned for 1 week)

More than 1 offence within the last 3 months from the reported date

Permanent Ban 

(Account will be banned for 6 months)

More than 5 offences within the last 1 month from the reported date

 

 

Types of Penalty

Violation Criteria (Prohibited Contents Related to Shopee Live)

3-days Ban

1st Offence

1-week Ban

2nd Offence

6-months Ban

3rd Offence

 

 

Notes:

 

  1. The above violation and penalty guidelines are applicable for social media posting and unfulfillment of free samples only.
  2. Violation will reset every 3 months (90 days) from the last ban date and Affiliates may continue to do their posting and earn commissions once the penalisation has been lifted.

 

How to Appeal for your Shopee Affiliate Account?

 

You can file an appeal to reactivate your account by submitting your details via the Shopee Affiliates Violation of T&C Appeal Form.

 

Please note that the Shopee account ban will be actioned once the initial notification has been sent. If an appeal has not been initiated within 5 business days, the appeal form will be rejected.
